Bear with me here...
When I first started pinning things on Pinterest, I didn't really "get it". Was this website supposed to be for me to share my projects? Who were these people who were showing up on my Pinterst feed? Why would someone repin my pin? And...who were these people who were showing up on my Pinterest feed?
Here I am, a year or so later, obsessed with this amazing website and everything it has to offer. I think I can say, with absolute certainty, that I totally get it now!!!
My boards weren't really reflecting my enlightenment though. I recently totally revamped and reorganized my Pinterest boards.
First I took My "For the Home" board and completely straightened it out:
I had waaay to much going on in the "For the Home" board, so I cleaned it up by sorting out some of my pins and creating some new boards: DIY, Painting Furniture, and Organizing + Tips.
Next, I sorted out and cleaned up my "Birthday for Girl" and "Party Ideas" boards. I had pins that really belonged on the other board, or needed to be deleted:
Last, I created a new board, "Quotes to Remember". Every now and then I find a quote that really speaks to me on Pinterest. I needed a place to collect them:
The seasonal boards didn't need organizing, but these are my favorite boards:
Organizing my Pinterest Boards feels just as good as organizing an actual drawer or closet. Everything is in its place now!

DeleteI'm glad you posted this. I need to organize my boards a bit too. The problem is every time I get I there to to do just that I get sidetracked and start pinning again and forget that I am supposed to be organizing. ��

Deleteoh my goodness! I do this regularly! Perhaps I have too many boards??...I might have 40...oops. But it does feel great to delete things & move things into more logical categories :)

DeleteI am right there with ya! I have one board that is "Around the House" and it's overflowing with stuff that I have got to organize. I'm working on it... slowly between blogging, DIY'n, and pinning more stuff! haha! But like you, I just got it! It finally clicked with me! Love your boards and I'm following on Pinterest now too!
